The 5th Maritime Continent Fulcrum International Conference (MACIFIC) 2025 will take place on September 24–25, 2025, in Bintan Island, Indonesia, under the theme "Shaping the Oceans of Tomorrow through Science and Sustainable Solutions." This international forum brings together experts, researchers, and policymakers from around the world to address the urgent challenges facing marine environments and to promote innovative, science-based, and collaborative solutions for sustainable ocean management. Indonesia’s strategic location within the Maritime Continent makes it an ideal host, highlighting its vital role in marine biodiversity, ocean governance, and regional cooperation.
MACIFIC 2025 will explore a wide range of topics, including Environmental Science and Engineering, Oceanography, Marine Technology, Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, Clean and Renewable Energy, Marine Pollution, Utilization of Marine Resources, Ecosystem Restoration, Water Resources, and Marine Food. The conference aims to advance global dialogue, foster partnerships, and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 14: Life Below Water. Through shared knowledge and commitment, MACIFIC 2025 seeks to shape a more sustainable and resilient future for the world’s oceans.
